How It Works: Consultation to Walkthrough
Four steps, one point of contact. Here’s what happens from the moment you reach out to the day you lower your screens for the first time.
- Step 1
Free in-home consultation
We come to your home, look at the patio and talk through how you want to use it.
We look at each opening, the mounting surfaces, where power can come from and which way the patio faces. You tell us what’s bothering you: bugs, sun, privacy, wind or all of the above.
We bring fabric and color samples so you can see them in your own light, against your own trim and stone.
- Step 2
Custom measure and quote
Every opening is measured on its own, and you get a clear written quote.
Patio openings are rarely perfectly square, and a screen has to fit its opening to seal. We measure each one carefully and note anything that needs special handling.
You get a written quote that lists each screen, its fabric, the track system and the controls, along with an expected timeline. No pressure to decide on the spot.
- Step 3
Professional installation
Your screens are made to your measurements and installed by our crew.
Once you approve the quote, your screens are built to the measurements we took. On install day, the crew mounts the housings and tracks, connects the motors and checks that every screen runs straight and seals at the bottom.
We clean up when we’re done.
- Step 4
Walkthrough
We show you how everything works before we leave.
We program your remotes and switches, set up any smart-home connection, and show you how to run each screen. We also cover the basics of care and what to do before severe weather.
If you have questions later, you call the same number you called the first time.
Getting ready for your consultation
None of this is required, but it helps us give you a better recommendation.
- Think about when you use the patio, and what drives you inside: bugs, sun, heat, wind or neighbors.
- Note which way the patio faces and when the sun hits it hardest.
- If you’re in an HOA, have your architectural guidelines handy.
- Know where your outdoor outlets are, if any.
- Have a rough idea of your timeline.
Process questions
Is the consultation really free?
Yes. The in-home consultation and your written quote are free, and you’re under no obligation.
How long does the whole process take?
After the consultation, your screens are made to your measurements, so there’s a production lead time that depends on the system and fabric. We give you an expected timeline with your quote. Installation itself is often done in a day for a typical patio, and larger projects can take longer.
Do I need to be home for the installation?
Someone needs to be there at the start to give access and at the end for the walkthrough, where we show you how everything works and program your remotes.
