Motorized Retractable Patio Screens in Houston
A motorized retractable screen sits in a slim housing mounted at the top of a patio opening. Press a button and it lowers along two side tracks until the bottom bar rests on the floor. Press it again and it rolls back up out of sight. When you want a screened-in patio you have one, and the rest of the time the patio stays open.
Each system we install is built to the exact size of your openings. At the free in-home consultation we look at your patio, show you fabric samples and work out which setup fits how you actually use the space.
What a motorized screen does for your patio
Keeps bugs out
With the screen down and its edges held in the side tracks, there are no gaps at the sides for mosquitoes to get through.
Shade when you want it
Fabrics range from see-through insect mesh to dense solar weaves that block glare and direct sun.
Stays in its tracks
Zipper-track systems lock the fabric edge inside the track, so the screen holds its shape in gusty weather instead of billowing.
Out of sight when it’s up
Retracted, the screen rolls into its housing. Nothing covers the view and nothing looks like an enclosure.
Simple controls
Use a handheld remote, a wall switch or a compatible smart-home hub. Run one screen or all of them together.

Every screen is built to the width and height of its opening, including the odd sizes and out-of-square posts many patios have.

Why motorized screens work in Houston
Houston gives you plenty of reasons to stay inside: mosquitoes from spring into fall, muggy summer afternoons, low western sun and storms that build up fast. A patio cover keeps the rain off. It does nothing about the rest.
Motorized screens cover what a roof can’t. Lower them in the evening when the mosquitoes come out, or late in the day when the sun gets under the patio cover. Raise them on a dry spring morning when you want the breeze and the view.

Questions about motorized retractable screens
How much do motorized patio screens cost?
Every screen is built for a specific opening, so the price depends on how many openings you have, their size, the fabric, the track system and how you want to control them. We give you a written quote after measuring at your free consultation. We don’t quote prices without seeing the patio, because any number would be a guess.
Do motorized screens need an electrical outlet?
The motors need power. Depending on the system and the patio, that can mean a nearby outdoor outlet or a hardwired connection. We look at your power situation during the consultation and explain the options before you commit to anything.
Will the housing look bulky?
The housing is a slim box mounted at the top of the opening, and it can be finished in a color that matches your beams or trim. On many patios it can be tucked behind or under a beam where you barely notice it. We’ll show you the mounting options for each opening.
