Motorized Patio Screens in Cinco Ranch

Cinco Ranch is one of the established master-planned communities on the west side of the Houston area, in the Katy area of Fort Bend County. Its neighborhoods have matured: trees have filled in, backyards have pools, and plenty of patios have been upgraded with outdoor kitchens.

Mature landscaping changes what a patio needs. You may get more shade than a brand-new subdivision, but also more leaves, more pollen and more of the damp, shady spots mosquitoes like.

Shade, leaves and bugs

Mature trees keep a patio cooler, but they also drop leaves and pollen on everything, and shady corners stay damp longer after rain. Insect screens keep the mosquitoes out and cut down on debris blowing onto the patio and into the outdoor kitchen.

Keeping the screens themselves clean is a quick rinse with a hose.

Association guidelines

Cinco Ranch has residential associations with guidelines for exterior changes. Review them before installing anything visible from outside, and submit for approval if required.

We can provide the product details, housing colors and fabric samples review committees typically ask for.

Cinco Ranch patio screen questions

Can screens go on a patio that already has a ceiling fan and lights?

Usually, yes. We plan the housing position around fans, lights and speakers already mounted on the beam or ceiling, and we’ll point out anything that could get in the way during the consultation.

Do screens help keep leaves out of an outdoor kitchen?

They help. With the screens down, much less blows in from the yard. Some debris can still get in over the top of open-sided structures, but it cuts down on cleanup.
