Motorized Privacy Screens for Houston Homes
Newer Houston-area homes often sit close together, and a second-story window next door can look straight down onto your patio or pool. A fence doesn’t help with that. A privacy screen does.
Privacy screens use dense fabric that’s hard to see through from outside. Lower one on the side facing the neighbors and leave the others up, or close in the whole patio for a quiet evening. When you want the space open again, they roll away.
Privacy without building a wall
Blocks sightlines
Covers the view from upstairs windows, the street or a shared green space, not just at ground level like a fence.
Pick your sides
Each screen covers one opening, so you can screen only the side that needs it.
Still breathes
Even dense screen fabrics let some air through, so the patio doesn’t feel sealed up.
Shade as a bonus
Privacy fabrics block a lot of sun, which helps on patios that face west.
No permanent structure
Raised, the screen disappears. That’s a different thing from adding a wall or a tall structure.
Same easy controls
Remote, wall switch or smart-home control, the same as every system we install.

Close neighbors and tall houses
Lot sizes in many newer master-planned communities and inner-loop rebuilds leave little room between houses. Two-story homes with windows facing the side yard are common, and a patio or pool that felt private when you moved in may not feel that way once the house next door goes up.
Permanent walls or tall structures often need HOA or city approval and can make a patio feel boxed in. A retractable screen gives you privacy when you want it and an open patio the rest of the time. If you’re in an HOA, we can give you product details and fabric samples to include with your architectural review application.

Questions about privacy screens
Do privacy screens work at night?
Light makes the difference. During the day, people on the bright side can’t see well into the darker side. At night, if your patio lights are on and the yard is dark, people outside can see in more easily. Darker, denser fabrics help. We’ll show you how different fabrics behave in both conditions.
Do I need HOA approval for privacy screens?
It depends on your HOA. Many associations require approval for exterior changes, screens included. Check your guidelines before installation. We can provide product details, color options and photos for your application.
Can I get privacy on one side and insect mesh on the others?
Yes. Each opening gets its own screen, so you can use privacy fabric where neighbors can see in and insect mesh or solar fabric everywhere else.
